John Howell Park is in the Virginia Highlands neighborhood of Midtown Atlanta, at the corner of Virginia Avenue and Barnett Street.

Walk/Bike: From Highland Avenue in Virginia Highland, take Virginia Avenue west about 1/2 mile. John Howell Park is on the left at the intersection with Barnett Street.

MARTA: Take MARTA Rail to the Midtown stop (on the north/south line). From there, take bus 45 to Virginia Highlands. Get off at the corner of Virginia Highlands and Barnett Street, next to Inman Middle School.

Driving directions: From the SOUTH, take Interstate 75/85 to exit 248C, Freedom Parkway NE toward Carter Center. Turn left at Boulevard. Continue straight onto Monroe Drive. Take a slight right onto Virginia Avenue. Park is on the right. From the NORTH, take I85 to the 10th Street exit and head east. 10th turns into Virginia Avenue at the intersection with Monroe. Stay on Virginia a few more blocks, passing Inman Middle School on the left. John Howell is on the right at Virginia Ave. and Barnett St.
